Chamber Thanks All Golf Tournament ParticipantsThe Suffield Chamber of Commerce wants to thank all our tournament sponsors, hole sponsors, donors and golfers for making our 15th Annual Golf Tournament a huge success. Thanks to all of you, the Chamber raised $7,300 for scholarships for local students continuing their field of study in business.
Other than an hour of drizzle in the middle of the tournament, the weather cooperated nicely and we had a great day for our tournament. We had 72 golfers and many hole sponsors, along with lots of friends and family members joining us for a delicious buffet dinner afterwards. The First National Bank of Suffield, Suffield Academy and Suffield Tavern were huge supporters of the event by being Tournament Sponsors. Happy Hour, sponsored by BOCO Marketing and Technology, was a great way to mingle after golfing, and the photo cart, sponsored by MyZipple, was visible on the course all day with John Smith, of White Light Visual Solutions, capturing golfers in action. I hope to have the pictures loaded onto the Suffield Chamber Website at www.suffieldchamber.com and www.myzipple.com in due course. A 2010 Pontoon Boat, sponsored by Guy's Auto Sales in West Suffield and Saunders Boat Livery in Southwick, MA, sat nearby, as we all waited for a golfer to hit a hole in one on the 2nd hole. Much to everyone's disappointment, the boat returned to the Marina.
Once again, on behalf of the Suffield Chamber of Commerce and the Golf Tournament Committee, thank you for your involvement, generosity and continued support. Everyone's participation and contribution helped to make this year's tournament the largest success yet. We hope to see you next year!
