Suffield Remembrance Parade
Each year communities around the nation gather to remember the tragic events that unfolded on September 11, 2001.  On September 11 there will be a parade and candlelight vigil in Suffield in commemoration of that world- altering day.  The parade will start at 6 p.m. at Ffyler Place. It will come up Mountain Road, turn left on Main Street, turn right into the shopping center and then proceed to the Veterans Memorial, where the candlelight vigil will be held. The speaker will be General Thaddeus Martin of Suffield who is the Adjutant General of the Connecticut National Guard.  There will be honor guards coming from Boston and New York City and the Life Star helicopter will appear.  The Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association has organized this commemoration. Please join your fellow residents to remember the many families that have been directly affected by that event as well as those who were at the site, and who can no longer be with us.
