An Evening for Adrianna
An Evening for Adrianna

Saturday, June 19, 2010
International Skating Center of Connecticut in Simsbury
Tickets- $10.00 Per Person $30 Per Family of four includes 3 hours of skating and your skate rentals!

In January of 2010, Adrianna lost her battle to Neuroblastoma. This innocent child was up against a fight with a beast. No child should have to endure what sweet Adrianna and her family have over the course of 10 months of grueling treatment. Adrianna was an inspiration to thousands and her memory will live on for lifetimes!

The International Skating Center of Connecticut has donated their facility to help raise money for Band of Parents in memory of sweet Adrianna, the three year old daughter of Joe and Stephanie Cavanagh that lost her battle to stage 4 Neuroblastoma Cancer. Band of Parents is an amazing organization that raises funds for childhood cancer research.

This event will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the International Skating Center of Connecticut in Simsbury. When a ticket is purchased it will get you 3 hours of skating and your skate rentals. Other activities will be going on as well such as, a bake sale, sundae bar, t-shirt sales, a silent auction and much, much more!

Band of Parents will help fund the research to find a cure so other families do not have to live the nightmare that the Cavanaghs did.  All donations will be made to Band of Parents in memory of Adrianna

Help us work towards finding a cure in Adrianna's memory!

Bag Lunch Series: Computer Backup
Bag Lunch Series: Computer Backup
June 16, 2010

Kent Memorial Library, Exhibit Room

Superheros need it, police rely on it and everyone that uses a computer should use some form on it. In the world of mainframes and microchips it's called data backup or data recovery and it can mean the difference between a slight computer setback and living through your own electronic apocalypse.

Let's face it; our computers are a bigger part of life than ever before. We shop, work and play using computers. They've replaced stereos, encyclopedias, even the mailman. They've become journals, photo albums and canvases for our art. But computers aren't perfect. Files become corrupt, motherboards malfunction, CPUs call it quits, taking our precious data with them.

Come ask Allan Elsayed from Final Computer Solutions your questions and learn about backing up data on your computer and what's best for you and your situation.

The "Bag Lunch" series is FREE and open to the public - just bring a bag lunch.
