The Suffield Chamber of Commerce is starting a new online marketing initiative, which includes an active Facebook page, revamped online directory, an active community calendar, an updated tourism section and a coupon / advertisement section.  We hope that each of these actions will draw more visitors to our website allowing them to find you, our chamber members.  The Chamber's goal is to help our member businesses grow as well as to facilitate networking between our peers.  

Our first step towards this online marketing initiative is to update each of our business listings; our focus is to review accuracy as well as create a detailed summary with the keywords people would use to search each of our businesses.  Currently we use a category system that is riddled with far too many categories to be effective for our online users; our new system will remove the cateogry search and contain a search bar, with an option to display our full membership list, so users can easily search for the business they are looking for.  Over the next few months we will be calling each member to request a summary about their business that will be listed on your directory listing.  If you would like to update your listing you can also click the following link: http://suffieldchamber.com/join/application/.  (Note:  On the top of the page is a link that states "search for your business in the member directory," click this then enter your company name in the search bar, when your name comes up click "Update/Renew This Listing," and then review your listing and add your business summary in the comments section. )

Join Us For Alex's Lemonade Stand Night on Saturday, July 10^th!

Dear Friends of Tosca,

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation  emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra "Alex" Scott.  As many of you know, Alex is my niece. The only daughter of my sister Liz and her husband Jay. Beautiful, spirited Alex passed away in August 2004, after raising more than one million dollars for childhood cancer research.  Since 2004, thousands of volunteers across the country have helped Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation raised more than $30 million for childhood cancer, one cup at a time! Everyone can make a difference.

Please join us for this special evening, as we honor the memory of Alex and continue to help in the fight against childhood cancer.
